Remote guests: one seat in Berlin, one voice elsewhere
A chair, a camera, a return feed that stays unread until the guest speaks. Lumeton mixes hybrid interviews without turning the Berlin room into a call centre.
The hybrid seat sits in a quiet corner of the 180 m², not on the talk set. Anja Richter or Tim Schäfer runs picture; Maja Lehmann puts the return on in-ear. An hour is €190 incl. 19% VAT (€159.66 net), half day €720, full day €1,100. A second remote seat is €85 incl. VAT per hour (€71.43 net) and shares control, not the camera axis.
We do not promise a named platform. Zoom, Teams or a tool you bring: the link must arrive the day before, and someone on your side must stay reachable. Lumeton is not the guest's home IT desk.
Four hybrid steps
- Platform, number of remote voices, whether the Berlin seat also speaks. Reply in one working day.
- Deposit 40%. A 15-minute line check the day before, signal only, no make-up.
- On the day: Berlin voice in the interview or talk set, remote through the hybrid seat into control.
- Recording locally in Berlin. The guest at home does not record for us unless you arrange that yourselves.
Conversations hybrid fits
One guest in London, a host on Lychener Straße. Two remote voices and a host in the room. Not a fully remote panel with no Berlin body — that would make the set a wall of screens, and screens stay unreadable in our frames, so they are useless as scenery.
Latency and manners
Return means delay. We brief the host to breathe after the full stop. Overlapping voices are only partly recoverable in post. A fast argument belongs in Prenzlauer Berg, in person.
What the remote guest needs
Wired network, a quiet door, light from the front, no window in the back. We send a checklist the day before without camera brand names. Headsets with large logos should swap for an unbranded set or an in-ear if the picture will be published.
Rights in two places
You collect the remote person's consent. We record in Berlin. Uses of the Berlin master after payment in full; the guest needs a separate agreement with you. Read Image and sound rights and the terms.
Kit we provide
Tripod, FX6, a return on a monitor that does not sit in frame. Ethernet into the house network. No warranty for the guest's line. If their network drops, the Berlin clock keeps running; a move follows the 5-day rule or remaining time lapses.
Not included
An interpreter booth, sign language, live captions, a broadcast feed, cloud licences. Captions later in post, €120 incl. VAT per 10 minutes of finished length.
