Podcast studio with a table for two to four voices
A round walnut table, two to four microphones, picture optional. Lumeton's podcast room is smaller than the talk set and larger than a voice booth.
Many teams do not want a television picture; they want a table conversation that may later exist as video. That is the round table: eyelines inward, cables in the centre, north light. An hour is €160 incl. 19% VAT (€134.45 net), half day €620, full day €980. The video-podcast add-on is €70 incl. VAT per hour (€58.82 net) and puts two FX6 bodies at table height.
Without the add-on we record sound only. With it you get two picture axes, no drone, no circular slider. The room is part of the 180 m², not the 45 m² suite and not the 70 m² talk floor. Switching between table and armchair row means two services or a talk-set day.
Four steps at the table
- Number of voices, sound-only or video, rough duration. Reply in one working day.
- Deposit 40%. A seat plan: who looks at whom, who sits left, because the FX6 bodies do not invent angles.
- Line-up 20 minutes. Cloth at a table rustles less than in an armchair; skip nylon gilets anyway.
- WAV poly or split tracks, optional two picture files. Archive 18 months.
Series this table fits
Interview podcasts, co-host shows, four voices in a discussion episode, internal audio notes from a board. Unsuitable: a live band, lectern keynotes, phone call-ins on speaker. Phones stay in the green room unless they are a muted prop.
Sound on wood
Maja Lehmann sets dynamic or small condenser capsules, unbranded in frame, wired by default. Wireless only if someone stands. The table has no inset touchscreens. Paper is fine; punches and staplers are not.
The Altbau carries courtyard noise. We move slots when the yard is a building site and say so within one working day.
Picture at the table
Two cameras, one over the host shoulder, one as a medium wide. No camera in the table well. The €70 incl. VAT hourly add-on applies as soon as one camera stands. Without the add-on the cameras stay in the cabinet, even for a "quick look".
Guest preparation
Still water, no sprint to the door. A cold should mean a cancel; the 5-day rule applies, under that the deposit is not refunded, and the session may move once inside 30 days if a slot is free. Details in the terms.
Delivery
WAV 48 kHz 24-bit. Video as for interviews: ProRes or H.264. We do not write chapters or show notes. A transcript is post at €95 incl. VAT per hour.
What stays outside
Hosting platforms, RSS, advertising, music licences, jingle writing. We record. Publication sits with you; the rights frame after payment in full is in Image and sound rights.
VAT and blocks
The day at €980 incl. VAT (€823.53 net) is the sensible block for four episodes back to back. The hourly €160 fits a single episode under 50 minutes plus line-up. Deposit 40%, B2B 14 days, archive 18 months.

Table, episodes and the picture add-on
The round table in Prenzlauer Berg is built for voices that look at each other. Four seats, wired capsules, headphones, north light. A fifth voice hits the corner and the plaster reverb. Food stays in the green room because paper and wood already have a life of their own. A sound hour is €160 incl. VAT; a day is €980 incl. VAT for several episodes back to back, including the 20-minute line-up.
The video-podcast add-on of €70 incl. VAT per hour puts two FX6 bodies at table height. Without it the cameras stay in the cabinet, even if someone only wants to “see a frame”. Livestream, jingle and RSS are not in the house. Files: WAV 48 kHz 24-bit, optional H.264. Archive 18 months. Deposit 40%, cancel 5 calendar days before 10:00 Europe/Berlin, businesses net 14 days. A finished cut is post-production with 2 rounds.
Courtyard dogs and the M10 belong to the Altbau. We move slots when someone is building and say so within one working day. Walk from U2 Eberswalder Straße, trams M1 and M10. Rights after payment in full; see terms art. 8 and the image-and-sound-rights guide.
Episodes back to back
Four episodes in a day need the day rate of €980 incl. VAT plus the optional video add-on of €70 incl. VAT per hour as soon as one camera stands. A switch into talk chairs in the same hour only with a clear break and a second service. Phones muted in the green room. Dynamic capsules wired; wireless only if someone stands. Courtyard works: we move inside one working day. Jingles and hosting platforms stay out. Transcript as a post hour. Minimum age 18. Deposit 40%. Archive 18 months. U2 Eberswalder Straße, M1, M10.
